1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using the Legde platform (“Service”), available at legdeapp.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service.

“Legde,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to the Legde platform. “You” and “your” refer to any individual or entity that accesses or uses the Service.

2. Service Description

Legde is a web-based property management platform that helps landlords manage properties, units, tenants, leases, payments, maintenance requests, and related operations. The Service includes:

• Property and unit management
• Tenant and lease tracking
• Payment collection and recording (via third-party processors)
• Financial reporting and expense tracking
• Maintenance request management
• Automated reminders and announcements
• Lease agreement PDF generation
• A tenant portal for self-service access

We may add, modify, or discontinue features at any time. We will make reasonable efforts to notify active users of significant changes.

3. Account Responsibilities

To use the Service, you must create an account with accurate and complete information. You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the security of your account credentials
• All activity that occurs under your account
• Ensuring that any tenant data you enter is collected with appropriate consent from the individuals involved
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorised access to your account

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account and use the Service.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws or regulations
• Upload or transmit malicious code, viruses, or any harmful content
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service, other user accounts, or our systems
• Use the Service to harass, threaten, or discriminate against any person
• Resell, sublicense, or redistribute the Service without our written consent
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service

5. Payment Processing

The Service integrates with Paystack, a third-party payment processor, to facilitate online rent collection and other payments. When you or your tenants make payments through the Service:

• Payment card details are handled entirely by Paystack and are never stored on our servers
• Paystack's own terms of service and privacy policy govern payment processing
• We store transaction metadata (amounts, dates, references, status) for your records and reporting
• We are not responsible for payment failures, delays, or errors caused by Paystack or your financial institution

You may also record manual payments (cash, bank transfer, etc.) directly in the Service. You are responsible for the accuracy of manually recorded payment information.

6. Data Ownership

You retain full ownership of all data you enter into the Service, including property information, tenant records, lease details, payment records, and any uploaded documents or photos.

You grant Legde a limited licence to store, process, and display your data solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you. We will not sell, share, or use your data for purposes unrelated to delivering the Service.

You may request export or deletion of your data at any time by contacting us at support@legdeapp.com.

7. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, code, features, branding, and documentation, is owned by Legde and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Nothing in these Terms grants you any rights to our intellectual property beyond the limited right to use the Service as described here.

8. Beta Disclaimer

The Service is currently in a beta phase. This means:

• Features may change, be added, or be removed without prior notice
• The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind
• We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or specific uptime levels during the beta period
• We may reset, migrate, or modify data structures as the platform evolves, though we will make reasonable efforts to preserve your data

By participating in the beta, you acknowledge these limitations and agree that your use is at your own discretion. We welcome and appreciate your feedback during this period.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Legde shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or business opportunities, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service.

Our total liability for any claim arising from or related to these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the amount you have paid to Legde in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or ₦50,000 (fifty thousand Naira), whichever is greater.

10. Termination

You may stop using the Service and close your account at any time by contacting us at support@legdeapp.com.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms or if your use poses a risk to the Service or other users. Where possible, we will provide notice before termination.

Upon termination, your right to access the Service ceases. We will retain your data for a reasonable period to allow you to request export, after which it will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email or through a notice on the Service. Your continued use of the Service after such changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes arising from or related to these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Nigeria.
